About Faygo Red Pop Feminised

Cured properly and opened cold, Faygo Red Pop leads with caryophyllene: dry black pepper that catches at the back of the throat, clove and warm wood underneath it. Underneath it myrcene adds depth and weight low down in the profile, and it reads mid-palate rather than on the first pass. This 40/60 hybrid tests at 15% THC, but potency is the least interesting number here: what separates Faygo Red Pop from the others on the same shelf is how the aroma behaves across a cure, and that is a question of storage and patience rather than genetics alone.

Growing it for the nose rather than the scales

Chasing terpene expression in Faygo Red Pop pulls against chasing yield, and it is worth knowing which one you are doing before you start. The Caryophyllene/Myrcene/Humulene profile does its best work in living soil, where the microbial side produces secondary compounds a bottle cannot. That is easier here than it sounds: decent peat-free compost and worm castings are a garden centre purchase in most British towns.

Through bloom, stop foliar spraying after week two — anything landing on developing trichomes is still there at harvest and you will taste it. The final three weeks decide which terpenes dominate the cured flower: nights held at 16-18°C push caryophyllene forward, while a warmer finish protects the lighter humulene notes at the top.

The cure is where most of the flavour is lost in this country, and the reason is the weather. A 10-14 day hang wants 15-18°C at 55-60% relative humidity, which a British autumn will not give you in a spare room — a temperature-controlled cupboard or a wine fridge set to 16°C solves it for the price of one wasted harvest. Then into glass, burped twice a day for the first fortnight. The myrcene layer that makes this one worth growing does not appear until somewhere between weeks three and four in the jar.

Rated intermediate difficulty.

What Faygo Red Pop is actually like

Growers report euphoric, creative, calm as the defining characteristics and our own notes agree. At 15% THC this hybrid sits where the balance is the selling point. Taken small it stays functional; taken larger it relaxes properly. The ${indica}/${sativa} split means the direction is set by how much you take rather than fixed by the genetics. The Caryophyllene/Myrcene pairing leaves warmth and spice that dries slightly on the exhale.

Best suited to most occasions — the dose does the steering.

Terpene breakdown

Primary: Caryophyllene · Secondary: Myrcene · Tertiary: Humulene. This combination turns up often in cultivars that win things, and it is usually the one growers comment on when a jar is opened for the first time after curing. Caryophyllene anchors the aroma, myrcene occupies the middle, and humulene sits behind both — which is the part that separates this strain from others sharing its primary terpene.

Who it suits

Faygo Red Pop suits growers with the basics in place. Understand pH, rough nutrient ratios and light cycles before you commit to it; it asks for competence rather than expertise. Photoperiod genetics leave plant size and harvest date under your control — veg longer for bigger plants, or flip early when space is short. The April to October season accommodates the bloom period comfortably for outdoor growers across the country.

Stabilisation Notes — What This Means for Your Grow

A newer late-2010s cross still being actively stabilised. F3 means three rounds of selection — the trichome production is locked across the bulk of the pack, with a small variant subset under continued cull.

Breeding Goal

Stabilise Faygo Red Pop across three rounds toward F4 production-ready stock.

Selection Focus

Chosen for balanced indica/sativa expression, terpene fidelity and pack-to-pack uniformity.

Pollen / Mother Source

Royal King Genetics select-mother programme — pollen drawn from an internally maintained reversed-female line.
