Royal King Genetics — first-party test batch

Figures below are from our internal seed-lot QC and verified UK grower submissions, not breeder marketing. Determined from a single batch tested 2026-09-22 on 125 seeds.

Germination rate: 97.6% (n=125)
Last QC test date: 2026-09-22
Indoor yield: 467-620 g/m² (avg across 7 verified grower reports)
Outdoor yield: 593-832 g/plant (avg across 10 verified grower reports)

About Guptilla Auto

Cured properly and opened cold, Guptilla leads with myrcene: a heavy damp-earth note with something sweet and overripe sitting behind it. Underneath it limonene adds a bright edge that keeps the nose from turning heavy, and it reads mid-palate rather than on the first pass. This 58/42 hybrid tests at 29% THC, but potency is the least interesting number here: what separates Guptilla from the others on the same shelf is how the aroma behaves across a cure, and that is a question of storage and patience rather than genetics alone.

Growing it for the nose rather than the scales

Chasing terpene expression in Guptilla pulls against chasing yield, and it is worth knowing which one you are doing before you start. The Myrcene/Limonene/Pinene profile does its best work in living soil, where the microbial side produces secondary compounds a bottle cannot. That is easier here than it sounds: decent peat-free compost and worm castings are a garden centre purchase in most British towns.

Through the 8-9 weeks of bloom, stop foliar spraying after week two — anything landing on developing trichomes is still there at harvest and you will taste it. The final three weeks decide which terpenes dominate the cured flower: nights held at 16-18°C push myrcene forward, while a warmer finish protects the lighter pinene notes at the top.

The cure is where most of the flavour is lost in this country, and the reason is the weather. A 10-14 day hang wants 15-18°C at 55-60% relative humidity, which a British autumn will not give you in a spare room — a temperature-controlled cupboard or a wine fridge set to 16°C solves it for the price of one wasted harvest. Then into glass, burped twice a day for the first fortnight. The limonene layer that makes this one worth growing does not appear until somewhere between weeks three and four in the jar.

Flowering: 8-9 weeks. Indoor yield: 500 gr/m². Outdoor yield: 700 grams. Rated intermediate difficulty.

What Guptilla is actually like

Growers report relaxed, happy, euphoric as the defining characteristics and our own notes agree. At 29% THC this hybrid sits where the balance is the selling point. Taken small it stays functional; taken larger it relaxes properly. The ${indica}/${sativa} split means the direction is set by how much you take rather than fixed by the genetics. The Myrcene/Limonene pairing leaves earth and faint sweetness on the palate, with fruit at the end.

Best suited to most occasions — the dose does the steering.

Terpene breakdown

Primary: Myrcene · Secondary: Limonene · Tertiary: Pinene. How this profile survives the journey from flower to vapour depends on temperature. Low vaporisation, 180-188°C, keeps the limonene and pinene audible over the myrcene base. Run it hotter, or burn it, and the three collapse into one note — pleasant enough, but none of the complexity that made it worth choosing.

Who it suits

Guptilla suits growers with the basics in place. Understand pH, rough nutrient ratios and light cycles before you commit to it; it asks for competence rather than expertise. Autoflowering genetics take the light cycle out of the equation, which suits balcony growers, anyone working around British daylight hours, and anyone who wants the whole thing over quickly. The April to October season accommodates a bloom of 8-9 weeks comfortably for outdoor growers across the country.

Autoflower Programme — five-generation auto trait fixing
Stabilisation Notes — What This Means for Your Grow

Five generations of selection on Guptilla to lock the autoflower trait. Auto trigger reliability and terpene fidelity expression both run uniform across the population — no rogue photoperiod plants in the pack.

Breeding Goal

Stabilise the recessive ruderalis trait in Guptilla for uniform auto-trigger.

Selection Focus

Chosen for trichome density, bud structure and the hybrid trait balance the cross was engineered for.

Pollen / Mother Source
